Overview

・The government-private “IT Innovation Strategy Center of Okinawa” is to be established in FY 2018 as a “command post” for proposing growthstrategies for industries using IT and raising the productivity and international competitiveness of Okinawan industries overall.
・The Center aims to apply innovation brought about by IT to various industrial fields including tourism (Okinawa’s strongest industry),distribution, agriculture, and finance and promote industry overall, as well as generate new businesses and services that are unique to Okinawa through verification activities and business matching, and then expanding these businesses and services outside Okinawa.

Overview
The Hitachi Incident Response Team(HIRT), a member of Nippon CSIRT Association, promotes activity to strengthen our partnerships with fellow members of the CSIRT community.
We will discuss the security risk issue of expanding IoT devices and importance of collaboration between CSIRT organizations regarding the recent activities of ransomeware or IoT malware, like Mirai and BrikerBot.

The application of test automation framework in physical network management

Overview

To respond to various functional requirements and environmental changes to the network, it is necessary to construct network systems more quickly and efficiently than before. However, due to physical restrictions, there has been a bottleneck in the repetitive execution of comprehensive functional network even when making relatively small changes to the network. To solve this problem, we developed an automatic test framework of the physical network and applied it to the actual network systems. As a result, we were able to reduce operating costs. Moreover, by incorporating this framework into the current operational workflow, we showed that we could introduce test-first development methodology to network management.

New Orchestrator for the testbed of OOL -Aiming for Open Source Testbed

Overview

OOL Testbed is verification environment using cloud technology represented by OpenStack and OPNFV, ONOS/CORD and SDN technology such as OpenFlow and White boxes.
Extensively utilized for the common infrastructure for various technical verification, use cases, PoC, multi-vender products conformation test, hands-on for education environment, etc.
For more active implementation of OOL activities, the testbed has been improved by development, introduce the user friendly management system that enables users to utilize the testbed more easily of reservation and automated orchestration.
Based on the PoC at OkinawaOpenDays2016, we will about how use convenient on a viewpoint of user’s, how automation and viewpoint of testbed operators, and future possibility for the new OOL testbed.

Overview
Recently, many programmable and high-performance data plane hardware (ASIC, NPU, FPGA) became available responding to the growing demand to make it possible for data plane to adjust to different use cases. Reflecting this trend, platforms supporting data plane programming language such as P4 is increasing. In this session, the speaker will introduce such technology trends and describe requirements and implementation of Network Operation Stack to support various programmable data plane.

Overview
The impact of technology on the sport industry is getting bigger in all over the world, such as using the technology to improve a player’s performance, manage medical conditions, prevent injuries, and so on.
However, Japan lags behind in these sport technologies.
On the other hands, as one of the Human-Computer interfaces, the technology analyzing a person’s emotional based on their voices has developed, in the field of Affective Computing. This has advanced in US, and is expanding in Japan thorough using it for smart speakers and automated driving system.
This program aims at introducing examples of new technologies for the sport industry and Human-Computer communication, and think about possibilities and burdens of those technologies with panels.
